Changes: SRH – Unchanged | DC – Praveen Dubey and Shimron Hetmyer come in place of Daniel Sams and Prithvi Shaw.
Pitch Report by Simon Doull and Ian Bishop: The pitch is right at the centre, so unless you’re Mumbai Indians, it will be hard to muscle the ball over the boundaries. None of the teams have managed to get above 163 – now look at the pitch, the amount of grass on it reminds me of New Zealand. It’s quite hard as well. The DC, with Nortje and Rabada have bowled a lot in the middle of the pitch, even at the death. They’ve tried hard lengths. The SRH don’t have that kind of pace so they have bowled fuller. I think that will be a key battle -how the batting line-ups counter this. DC will attempt a lot of cross-seamers, given that it will skid off the grass. It’s a good batting surface, but the fast bowlers should enjoy themselves with the new ball. Stats say bat second, but in a knockout game, runs on the board count. Delhi Capitals have lost twice chasing, but the teams like knowing what they’re after in the UAE. 160 on the board should be safe on this wicket.
